Today, Kristi, Anita & I went to Antwerp by train. The city was very beautiful with a lot of Art Nouveau architecture. Antwerp is known as “Diamond City.” We went to the Diamant Museum, saw all about diamond history, & saw some very old pieces of diamond jewelry from the 16th & 17th century.
From the museum, we went to DiamondLAND & got to see diamond cutters at work. It was really neat! I even got to sign the guestbook! They had this really great poster in the lobby of a big dog with a big heart-shaped diamond on its collar. It rocked! I think I might get one for myself one day.
After dinner, we got to hang out with Team Atkins & some other guys from other racing teams. Everyone was so nice! There were so many different languages flying around! I had so much fun.
